Our Full-time college football programme is designed to further a players development and maximise a students potential, we do this by cleverly combining education and sport.
Aldershot Town F.C Youth Team is based at Alderwood School in Aldershot. The aim of the Academy is to provide a platform for individuals to become employable and well rounded, and ideally progressing into the Aldershot Town F.C
The Youth team train 4 times a week, has access to a physiotherapist, trips abroad, fitness based programme, nutritional support and advice.
Players in our under-18 team compete in the Conference Youth Alliance League, Bostik Youth League, Suburban League and the FA Youth Cup.
Farnborough Academy, are based at Farnborough FC. The Academy is a full time programme based around Football and Education. The Academy are for players aged between 16-18 come the 1st September.
The Academy are partnered with Education providers Knights Group Sports and all learners on the programme will have the opportunity to gain a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport, with the potential to go for the Extender Diploma in Year 2. All the Education is based at the football ground, with the classroom overlooking the football pitch.
Merrist Wood Academy
If you are interested in a career in sport and developing your own football skills and game understanding alongside a study programme of sports coaching, development and fitness, then this is the course for you.
You will undertake and gain an understanding of the football industry, and a range of coaching techniques and programmes. Our aim is to give you the tools to both evaluate and develop your own performance, ultimately improving you as a player and student here at the college.
GPS Fleet Academy
GPS Fleet is the latest academy created through GPS’s growing network. The Academy gives hardworking, talented players a pathway into higher levels of football, education, and coaching worldwide. Players will get the chance to train and play at state of the art, 3G pitches – as well as this, each player will have access to grass pitches, gym, pool, and spinning & yoga studios.
Sholing Football Academy
The club is launching a 2-year programme where individuals will have the opportunity to play and train under the umbrella of one of Hampshire’s biggest and most successful semi-professional football clubs, whilst working towards a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma In Sport (Development, Coaching & Fitness) which is the equivalent of 3 A Levels.
By being part of the Sholing Football Club Academy, there are genuine pathways to play for the first team but with the programme being a college programme held between Monday and Friday, students will still be able to play for their local grassroots sides at the weekend as well.
